Perhaps most well known as an advocate for reproductive justice, Yamani is passionate and vocal on and offline about many matters of injustice based on identity. Outside of reproductive justice, you can find Yamani advocating on mental health topics. Yamani believes in bodily autonomy even for youth. Especially in the case of genital cutting of children regardless of their perceived or assigned sex. Young people deserve consent and agency over what happens to their bodies. Yamani firmly believes in the interrelated nature of social justice issues and uses both a creative and analytical skill set to tackle some of the most critical issues of our time.
